His Excellency the Minister shared insights on Cambodia’s health policy, particularly the priority placed on primary health care at the community level through comprehensive service delivery at health centers. This approach aligns with the current health policy reform priorities in Hong Kong, which aim to strengthen and expand primary health services at district health centers in response to the growing burden of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Both sides held an in-depth discussion on leadership and governance of health service delivery across both the public and private sectors.
